Hot chocolate and winter go together like a pot and a lid. What could be better than sitting on the couch in the evening and drinking a creamy, vegan hot chocolate? So that your body canalso produce plenty of mood-boosting serotonin, it's best to make it with a dark chocolate (at least 50% cocoa content). Top it off with our delicious Oat Base oat drink, some vanilla, a dollop of thick coconut cream and vegan (coconut) cream. Sounds farmtastic, doesn't it?
This is what you need for it:
- 50g dark chocolate
- 3 tbsp coconut cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 200ml Oat Drink from Oat Base
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar
- 1 sachet cream stiffener
- 1 tsp chocolate chips
- Pinch of coarse sea salt
Put the coconut milk in the fridge overnight.
Coarsely chop the chocolate on a board.
3. Mix 2 tablespoons of Oat Base with 200ml of water to make a ready-made oat drink.
Heat the chocolate together with the oat drink, maple syrup, 1 tbsp coconut cream, salt and vanilla extract over medium heat. vanilla extract over medium heat.
Stir well with a whisk in between and remove from the heat as soon as the chocolate has completely melted.
Pour the hot chocolate into a cup.
7. Whip 2 tbsp coconut cream with some vanilla sugar and cream stiffener with a hand mixer until creamy and then pour onto the cocoa.
Decorate the cocoa with chocolate shavings.
