Your questions, our answers
Is Oat Base Calcium gluten-free?
What is the Forever Spoon made of?
It comes 100% from DE and is made from 100% natural and renewable raw materials (waste products from agriculture). We want to move away from petroleum-based plastic to a bio-composite made from bio-based plastic and wood flour.
How is Oat Base Calcium made?
In the production of Oat Base, the oats are treated enzymatically so that they get that light sweetness and delicious creaminess when dissolved in water. This also means that we can do without the binders and other ingredients that many ready-made oat drink products contain.
Can I also foam up the Oat Base Calcium?
Our Oat Base Calcium foams up particularly well directly in the frother. Please note that this is not yet a barista version (coming soon).
What does Oat Base Calcium taste like?
Our Oat Base Calcium tastes naturally fresh like oats. Compared to a homemade oat drink, the consistency is very pure, which comes from the enzymatically treated oats, which dissolve extermely well and bring out the natural sweetness of the oats nicely. For more creaminess, simply add more Oat Base to your drink.
Is Oat Base Calcium comparable to a homemade oat drink?
Our Oat Base Calcium is not one-to-one comparable with homemade oat drink. We use gluten-free oats and treat them with natural enzymes. The result is a naturally sweet and creamy oat drink that dissolves well and does not become slimy or flocculate in the coffee.
Can Oat Base Calcium be used directly in coffee like coffee whitener?
You can simply add the Oat Base directly to the coffee. The best way to do this is to first put the Oat Base into the cup and then pour on the coffee.
Where is my Oat Base Calcium produced?
We use European oats for our Oat Base to keep transport distances short. Production and processing take place in Germany.
