Material
Our current packaging is made of monoplastic and is therefore 100% recyclable. Most importantly, it saves lots of beverage cartons. We are always looking for new and better ways to reduce our environmental footprint. So if you have any suggestions, feel free to let us know!
For a glass of oat drink (200 ml), simply mix 2-3 tablespoons (24 g total) of Oat Base with 200 ml of water. For more oat drink, simply mix a larger amount of base with the corresponding amount of water.

Fair cocoa
We purchase the cocoa through Suyana from the Dominican Republic. Suryana controls the cultivation and is thus committed to fair working conditions and sustainable cultivation.
Real vanilla
Contains no vanilla flavoring, but real organic vanilla sourced directly from the vanilla farmer. This is our contribution to shorter supply chains and fair wages for the farmers.
Natural sweetness
Contains natural coconut blossom sugar. Thanks to the natural sweetness of the oats, we can also do without strong additional sweetener.

How do I prepare the Oat Base?
Like all our Oat Bases: Simply mix a heaped Magic Spoon (12 g) of Oat Base with 100 ml of warm or cold water, shake or stir - done! Very important: you don't need any other plant drink or milk.
Do the Cocoa and Vanilla Oat Base contain sugar?
We use organic coconut blossom sugar in our Cocoa and Vanilla Oat Base because we want to avoid using industrial sugar in our products. In addition, the Oat Base already contains sugar, which is produced by the fermentation of the oats during the manufacturing process.
Are the Oat Bases gluten-free?
Die Oat Base ist glutenfrei gemäß der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 41/2009. Das bedeutet, dass der Glutengehalt unter den gesetzlich vorgegebenen <20 ppm liegt und ist damit als glutenfrei deklariert.

The Cocoa and Vanilla Oat Base tastes great cold as a delicious refreshment or warm as a creamy treat on gray days.
Where does the cocoa in Cocoa Oat Base come from?
The cocoa comes from the Dominican Republic. It is imported directly through Suyana. Suyana also controls the working conditions and cultivation methods on site to promote sustainable, responsible business practices.
Where does the vanilla in Vanilla Oat Base come from?
While many vanilla drinks contain only vanilla flavor, our Oat Base Vanilla contains real organic bourbon vanilla from Madagascar, India, Indonesia, Uganda. We make sure that the vanilla is sourced directly from the farmers whenever possible to keep supply chains short and ensure fairer wages for the farmers.
Is it possible to foam the Oat Bases?
Our Oat Base foams up particularly well directly in the foamer with cold water.
What is the shelf life of the Oat Bases?
They can usually be kept for several months to a year (according to the best-before date) even when opened.
Why is the Oat Base packaging made of plastic?
Our Oat Base is an enzymatically treated food product that requires packaging with a particularly high barrier property, thus ensuring the shelf life of the product. We use monoplastic to ensure full recyclability of the packaging.
